Privacy Policy

1. No accounts, minimal data

OnBid has no user accounts and no logins. We do not collect names, emails, or passwords. What we do store is tied to listings, not people: the listing details you submit, bid and click counts, and anonymous analytics events.

2. Cookies

• Ownership cookie (ob_claims, ~2 years, httpOnly): remembers which listings were submitted from your browser so you can manage them. No tracking purpose.
• Theme preference (localStorage): remembers light/dark mode. Never leaves your device.

3. Analytics and logs

• Anonymous product analytics (page views, submissions, checkouts) via Mixpanel and Vercel Analytics, keyed to a random device id — never to your identity.
• Outbound clicks are counted in aggregate. IP addresses are only ever stored as truncated hashes for abuse prevention and are never sold or shared for marketing.

4. Payments

Bid payments are processed by Dodo Payments as the Merchant of Record. Card and billing details go directly to Dodo Payments under their privacy terms — OnBid never sees or stores them.

5. External links

Listings link to third-party websites. Every outbound click passes through a warning page showing the destination domain before you continue. Their privacy practices are their own — review them before entering personal details anywhere.
